How it works

Stacked Sports, the full guide

Play-money sports leagues with your friends

Stacked Sports is a social game: you and your friends pick the same competitions, use virtual cash, and compete on a shared leaderboard. Odds come from real Polymarket markets. Nothing here is real gambling: no deposits, withdrawals, or cash prizes.

What Stacked Sports is

Think of it as a private fantasy pool powered by real prediction-market prices. Each league is tied to one competition (for example FIFA World Cup, NBA, College Football, or UFC). Everyone in that league sees the same games, bets with play-money balances, and ranks by who manages their bankroll best.

  • Browse: pick a sport and competition from Home.
  • League context: switch the active league in the header so bets count for that group.
  • My Bets: track open and settled picks.
  • Leagues: leaderboard, wallet, invites, and settings.

Leagues

Create a league

  1. Open Create a league.
  2. Choose the competition your group will bet on (for example World Cup).
  3. Name the league, optionally set an end date, then create it.
  4. Copy the invite link from league settings and send it to friends.

Join a league

Open the invite link your commissioner shared (from league settings or the leagues hub). You’ll get the league’s starting play-money balance when you join.

Commissioner tools

The creator is the commissioner. In league settings they can rename the league, cap members, open or close invites, set starting balances and recurring allowances (daily, weekly, or every N days), reset balances, and configure UFC fight-card rules when needed.

UFC leagues

For UFC only, commissioners can choose season-long betting on any UFC fight, or lock the league to a specific fight card so only that weekend’s fights count. Other sports do not show these format controls.

Championship picks (optional)

When Polymarket has an open championship / outright winner market for the league’s competition, the commissioner can require every member to lock a fixed-stake winner pick before they bet. Stake is reserved until the market settles; odds freeze at the moment you confirm. You only see other members’ picks after you lock yours.

How betting works

  1. Make sure the correct league is selected in the header.
  2. From Home, open your competition’s upcoming games list.
  3. Tap a game to see moneyline, game props, and player props.
  4. Tap an odds pill to add it to the bet slip.
  5. Enter a stake (or use $25 / $50 / $100 / Max), then place the bet.

Odds are shown as percentages (implied probability). Your potential payout is calculated from the stake and those prices. You can only bet games that belong to your league’s competition, and only while the league is still open.

Singles and parlays

One pick on the slip places a single. Add another pick from any eligible game to build a parlay. Combined odds multiply, so payouts are larger but every leg must win. You can review drafts and open bets on the My Bets page.

Live tracking and results

Open bets update as markets move toward resolution. On My Bets you can filter singles vs parlays and see leg progress. When a market settles, the app credits wins or closes losses against your league balance. Settlement follows the underlying market results (same source as the odds).

On the Leagues page, the leaderboard ranks members by current balance. Tap a player to see their open and settled bets in that league.

Play money, not real cash

  • Balances are virtual and only exist inside each league.
  • You cannot deposit, withdraw, or cash out real money.
  • Commissioners may grant a daily, weekly, or custom (every N days) allowance that credits every member.
  • Resetting balances (commissioner) cancels open bets and sets everyone to the same amount.

Full legal wording is in the Terms and Privacy pages.

Quick tips

  • Always check which league is active before you place a bet.
  • Use Max stake carefully: it’s your full available balance in that league.
  • If a game looks empty, the league may be in card-only mode (UFC) or the competition may be off-season.
  • Invite links are the only way friends join a private league.
